Summary: Landscape and Lounge Area by Heath Outdoor Heath Outdoor is proud to share our transformation of a once-dowdy backyard into an exquisite landscape and lounge area that is balanced with beauty and functions. We completed this in the beautiful communities of Beech Grove, Castleton, Clermont, Crows Nest, and beyond. This showcases our focus on quality and innovative design. This included leveling a steep slope to create a multi-level space designed for relaxation and socializing. The centerpiece of this backyard is a stone patio made of beautiful natural bluestone that complements the surrounding greenery. It is also durable and provides a slip-resistant surface for entertaining. The patis is surrounded by lush, native plantings that thrive in the local climate. We selected eco-friendly perennials in assorted colors, with ornamental grasses strategically placed to provide structure and color throughout the year. Additionally, we designed a custom fire pit with seating as a segmented space to gather together at night and enjoy the evening while cooling down. We addressed drainage with a two-foot deep rain garden that captures runoff and filters water in a natural way to have the plants thrive in the landscape. The challenge was to incorporate it without disrupting the larger design. A level piecing through the rain garden connects the patio area with the footpath surrounding it. The finished space is a stunning outdoor retreat, and it surpassed the expectations of the clients. The client can now entertain guests, family, and friends while relaxing after a long day.
