Custom Fire Boulder, Patio, and Outdoor Living by Heath Outdoor Heath Outdoor is excited to share the of a landscaping that transformed a plain backyard into a beautiful outdoor oasis for a client in Beech Grove, Castleton, and the surrounding area. This included a custom fire boulder, a custom patio, seat walls, and a lush landscape interface with existing trees and flowers. This started with the building of a large patio that was built to withstand the rigors of the outdoors using high-quality pavers selected for their beauty as well as durability. These pavers followed gentle curves with just enough incline to serve as gathering spots or relaxation. The fire boulder was custom designed using a large, unique, natural stone personally selected by our team. Sometimes a small stone will get too warm in your hand, but who doesn’t love an evening fire on a cool night under the stars! The fire boulder was designed to be between the seat wall and the patio, so it furthers a gathering area without taking much space. The seat wall, designed from matching stone materials, allowed us to create a distinct area that would tie the patio to the landscape while providing extra seating. The seat wall was large enough to accommodate guests, and it also functioned to create comfort while enjoying the view of the garden. Ornamental grasses and perennial flowers of many colors were introduced due to the community’s desire for more color and plant life. Along the way, our team faced some challenges, including uneven land as well as different soils. We were able to navigate those challenges with some planning and some out-of-the-box thinking to ensure that the end result was a seamless installation that would stand the test of time. The end result of this was beyond what was originally planned and allowed the client's wonderful outdoor retreat to serve for entertaining. The meticulous implementation of background , the quality of materials, and craftsmanship was astounding and the turned the vision of a wonderful and functional outdoor living space into a reality!
