HGTV By Zenful Gardens Located in Sonoma County, Zenful Gardens is thrilled to showcase the HGTV where our happy clients embraced a whole new level of outdoor living. Set amongst a large backyard in Santa Rosa, the combines sculptural art & functionality. The design team worked to create an inviting space with a durable but beautiful multi-tiered patio using local flagstone. A custom cedar pergola adds shade as well as a bit of structure, covered in jasmine that will be in full bloom come summer. We planted locally nowadays drought tolerant flora to emphasise the naturalistic texture with little upkeep and enhancement of local biodiversity. We planted a mix of colorful succulents and flowering perennials for blooms throughout the seasons. While access to the site was very challenging due to the steepness of the topography, we found ways to adjust to this slope using multi-layered planting beds that follow the contours of the landscape. It also added a dimension to allow drainage of water, to prevent standing water which could kill our choosen plants. The end product is a stunning space for resting and hosting, with a fire pit and seating area and a footpath that leads guests through lush greenery. Our clients loved the transformation, saying it was like a little HGTV in their backyard.
