Front Porch - Before & After Completed by Thompson's Landscaping At Thompson's Landscaping, we are passionate creating outdoor spaces that inspire amazing living spaces offering additional living space outside of your home! In this 'Front Porch - Before & After' , you'll see our commitment to quality and creativity serving clients in Conroe, Magnolia, Montgomery, Oak Ridge North, Pinehurst, Shenandoah, Spring, The Woodlands, and Tomball. We started with a front porch that functioned as, much like the concrete slab that felt cold and unwelcoming space, but visually it was lacking. The overgrown shrubs that framed the entrance to the house completed the look, it was very uninviting! Our first task was to achieve a warm and inviting space while maintaining functionality for everyday use. We started with the unsightly concrete, removing it and replacing it with gorgeous natural flagstone pavers that add beauty and durability. We carried that same look by adding wrought iron railings that give a great decorative safe option. For the landscaping, we chose some great perennials and low maintenance shrubs to provide seasonal blooms. The look was created to frame that porch and let it draw the eye toward it and added color year round. We added some soft ambient lighting to the focal points of the day time enhancements to be beautiful at night as well for our client to enjoy! We built custom planters to go on each side of the porch. We blended reclaimed wood and new plants to provide that real rustic attitude the area. At the end of the day, the clients were thrilled with the completed and very happy to have such a welcoming entry to their front porch again.
