Client: Ponte Vedra BeachLocation: JacksonvilleGarden Design: Vie Plant and Garden Design Vie Plant and Garden Design A luxurious, green oasis right outside your door. A recent we did for a wonderful client of ours in Ponte Vedra Beach is a prime example of this concept. The objective was to develop a balanced composition that compliments the coastal landscape while finding solutions for light conditions and sandy soil. We focused on a mixture of native plants, including dune daisies and sea oats, for a combination of sustainability and lower maintenance. Decorative stone pathways and natural boulders were added by our team, which served both decorative and practical purposes by allowing for better drainage through the yard. Highlights of the included dealing with the challenges associated with the hilly site, so they had to grade and build a series of gorgeous retaining walls from natural stone. Not only did it create structural strength but it also brought a rustic feel to the landscape. The garden is now planted up with an ornate selection of plants, a well constructed fire pit with surrounding seating to enjoy the space, and carefully positioned lighting to illuminate the space in the evenings. We worked with the client every step of the way to ensure they were able to have own oasis to create memories with all the family, or enjoy a quiet evening alone. Our client is pleased, as they now have a beautiful functional landscape that truly makes their outdoor space come to life while contributing beautifully to the Pointe Vedra Beach experience.
