We took the challenge of choosing palms that not only look good but grow well in our climates and installed them all. Specimen palms, such as the Royal Palm and Sabal Palm that flourish here, were painstakingly selected for their distinct framing/appearance and year-round interest. Using quality soil amendments and the best possible mulch you are providing nutrient packed soil for the palms to grow into and resourcing everything they need to sustain multiple years of cool season growth or even high tropical in the greenhouse. Since the sandy soil in Jacksonville could present drainage issues, the installation had to be done with precision and care. The professional team utilized scientific methods of water retention, intending to promote the palms' long-lasting health. Every detail of this demonstrated a commitment to qualityfrom the placement of each palm with respect to its sunlight exposure to the incorporation of complementary landscape elements (ornamental grasses and flowering shrubs that serve to ‘frame’ the palms by softening their bases).
