Marywood Retreat Marywood Retreat by Vie Plant and Garden Design is an exceptional example of how we take outdoor spaces and convert them into places to find serenity. Located in the scenic local beauty of Ponte Vedra, this landscaping was designed to provide the homeowners with a peaceful retreat that was both beautiful and functional. It boasted a thoughtfully crafted design, with an impressive selection of indigenous flora, drought tolerant species, and a softly winding path made of a resilient, organic stone. There were many obstacles for the team including a sloped ground which needed unique drainage approaches to be sustainable and to avoid erosion. With these principles in mind, we terraced the barrier with reclaimed wood and built walls that provide structural integrity while blending with the natural terrain. We added a water feature with a waterfall and native wetland plants to support wildlife and help create a retreat feel. Well designed outdoor lighting highlights the greenery and the evening ambience, making it possible for owners to relish this retreat even after sunset. We paid careful attention to every detail of the , from the materials used (local stone, sustainable mulch), to the placement of every plant to ensure proper growth and optimal visual appeal. The end product is a stunning environment which not just met our customer's requirements, yet surpassed them, offering an oasis in which to unwind that agrees with the surrounding appeal.
