About This Project

The Baby Charlotte project represents a remarkable transformation of a quaint guest cottage located in Kansas City, MO, which had fallen into disrepair after the main house was lost to fire in the early 2000s. Embarking on our first "tiny home" endeavor in 2019, we aimed to revitalize this charming property, bringing new life and vibrancy to its compact space. The renovation involved meticulous attention to detail, with an emphasis on creating an inviting atmosphere through thoughtful design choices. Throughout the home, we implemented new flooring and a fresh coat of paint that breathed life into every corner. The updated color palette and materials not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal but also contributed to a more open and airy feel, allowing the cozy space to feel expansive and welcoming. Among the standout features of this renovation is the uniquely designed staircase and walkway, which adds character and charm while seamlessly connecting different areas of the home. The addition of a wrap-around deck further elevates the overall experience, providing an outdoor extension that invites relaxation and enjoyment of the surrounding environment. In addition to structural updates, we curated a selection of furniture and decor that complements the home's new look. A highlight of the interior design is the custom floating wood headboard in the bedroom, which serves as a focal point that balances functionality with artistic flair. Every element within Baby Charlotte has been chosen with care, ensuring a cohesive and harmonious design that reflects both the client's vision and our commitment to quality craftsmanship.
