The Armour Mid-Century project showcases a stunning transformation of a midtown apartment located in a unique building, reflecting the elegance of mid-century design while incorporating modern functionality. Commencing in 2021, the renovation encompassed a comprehensive scope of work aimed at elevating the living experience while paying homage to the architectural heritage of the space. Central to the project was a complete kitchen remodel, where we selected updated countertops that exude sophistication and durability. The painted cabinetry, complemented by new hardware, infused a fresh and vibrant look, while the updated backsplash added a touch of personality and visual interest. The refinished existing hardwood floors throughout the apartment not only enhanced the warmth of the space but also maintained the classic charm inherent to the building. The full bathroom remodel was another highlight, where we embraced the mid-century aesthetic by selecting classic tile accents that harmonize with the overall design. The result is a bathroom that is both functional and stylish, evoking a sense of nostalgia while providing modern conveniences. In addition to these significant updates, we applied new interior paint throughout the apartment, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. Lighting updates were thoughtfully integrated into each room, enhancing the ambiance and accentuating the unique furniture options we carefully curated for the main living space. The client’s vision of a mid-century lounge vibe was realized through the selection of distinctive pieces that not only serve as functional furnishings but also as conversation starters, seamlessly blending with the apartment's architectural details.
