Brick & Stone Walkway with Wall by Rock Water Farm Located in the scenic community of Aldie, Rock Water Farm recently completed a beautiful landscaping that included a new brick and stone walkway and a decorative retaining wall, both of which will add beauty and practicality to our client's outdoor space. Each brick and natural stone in this walkway was sourced from high-end brick yards and stone yards located locally and the materials were selected so that the new walkway would blend seamlessly into the existing landscape. The timeless look of the bricks paired with the durability of the stone against the seasons of Virginia was an important consideration. The bricks were hand laid and the stone accents were meticulously integrated into the walkway to create a pleasing blend of texture and color. As with many s, site conditions can dictate the approaches required to facilitate the build all while keeping it pleasing to the eye. In this case, the property had a slope that was challenging to incorporate into a walkway. Our team expertly designed and built a very durable retaining wall comprised of several larger, aesthetic stones interspersed with bricks to add a point of interest, while also maintaining a solid structure to support the upper landscaping above. The result is a stunning walking path that invites guests to explore the lush garden while the wall acts as an enclosure and creates a private area. The client was delighted - not only did we create a beautiful functional area for them to unwind and entertain, we exceeded their expectations with the finished product.
