Ferguson Residence by Verdant Enterprises Located in the Isle of Hope neighborhood, Verdant Enterprises was tasked with an incredible full landscaping renovation. Verdant Enterprises was able to create gorgeous outdoor living spaces that are both functional and visually pleasing, while paying homage to the family lifestyle and the Low Country coastal climate. The design integrated a diverse range of native plants, including azaleas, palmettos, and jasmine, that would thrive in the sandy soil and remain functional for entertaining purposes. To achieve answers to seasonal blooms and evergreen shrubs, this would ensure a visually pleasing garden throughout every season. The highlight of the landscaping is the new custom stone patio built from durable local tabby. This gives the family a comfortable place to entertain outdoors, while naturally transitioning into a garden area with a soft pathway made of reclaimed brick. This paved outdoor space is perfect for an evening gathering, with beautiful atmosphere lighting that illuminates the natural outdoor space for entertaining. One of our challenges we overcame on this site was uneven elevation and drainage. Verdant Enterprises has the experience to expertly create and engineer a series of tiered garden beds to both solve drainage issues and reduce flooding, while adding depth and dimensionality to the overall landscape. Each wall was built using natural boulders that were the same stone type as the new existing patio. And, to further enhance the overall quality of the aesthetic, the appropriate plant material was selected to resist erosion. The family is absolutely delighted with the final result of their new outdoor oasis. This landscaping is not only stunning and functional, but it has become a beautiful outdoor respite for family gatherings and a vibrant wildlife habitat.
