Wildwood Green Wildwood Green is a landscaping by DesignScapes of North Carolina, Ltd, whereby we transformed our clients' outdoor living environment in North Raleigh, NC. The combined nature-inspired design elements and functional aesthetics to provide beautiful curb appeal outside, and a safe and relaxing space for educational family time. The primary element of Wildwood Green is the beautiful stone patio made from regional, locally quarried flagstone. The patio was designed to visually flow with the existing landscape; not only is flagstone attractive, but it is sustainable, strong, and weather-proof in north Carolina. Surrounding the patio, there are several layers of native plants including azaleas, gardenias, and ornamental grasses. Using native plants works best for no maintenance, all of the layers will bloom at different times of year, and draws in a variety of wildlife, which is an enhancement of the outdoor experience for the family. The sloping topography of the property was a challenge in which we solved using innovative grading methods. We created a level planting bed and walking path system for placement of planting material closer to stillness. Each bed and path embraces and demonstrates how naturally we struck a beautiful balance using the relaxing landscape. We provided a water smart and sustainable irrigation system for the landscape. The entire landscape is on a smart irrigation controller, watering each bed cycle with the identical measured amount of water. Lastly, we provided soft LED lighting leading up paths and in garden beds, so our clients could enjoy the Wildwood Green landscape long after the sunset. The total stands as a cohesive outdoor living and leisure canopy, showcasing delicious craftsmanship, care and attention to detail that embodies DesignScapes of North Carolina, Ltd. The clients were ecstatic the transformation process and delighted to have a green, tranquil oasis built just for them with their lifestyle commitment in mind.
