About This Project

Backyard Vacation Landscape by Grayscape Landscape & Design LLC The City Backyard Vacation Landscape, however, was an exceptional representation of the quality and creativity of Grayscape Landscape & Design LLC that transformed a city backyard into a retreat. Set in the center of Frisco, this was a combination of several green spaces, hardscaping, and functioning outdoor spaces to meet the needs of our client who wished to recreate an oasis at home. It incorporated a bold blend of native and flowering plants that are durable and low-maintenance to provide year-round appeal. Stylish stone pavers paired with durable composite decking helped create seamless transitions between spaces, such as a heated lounge area, a fire pit, and a full outdoor kitchen. Overcoming the severe as-taken mutations in topography ranging from 11 feet above the top of the boys dorm to 9 feet below the bottom of the girls dorm was the primary challenge to achieve genuinely simple, grade-aligned flatness, while providing the traditional three converging slopes-in-a-swale drainage strategy. Our experienced crew was fast at work shaping the landscape and building retaining walls that improved the aesthetics while solving any potential water concerns. We were absolutely pleased with the outcome; the client was pleased with their new backyard which included a water feature that provided a peace filled sound, large flowering plumeria bushes that attracted butterflies, and lighting that helped keep the party going well into the evening. For us, the 'Backyard Vacation Landscape' received top honors in our book, as Grayscape Landscape & Design LLC overcame higher expectations, and created a beautiful, yet functional retreat.
