We did a lot of sod and redesigning of an existing flower bed to make the a yard look better and work better for the homeowner. First, we reviewed the site, recognizing all of the bad drainage problems and soil conditions that thwarted past attempts to landscape the area. Using high-quality sod sourced locally, we made sure that the new lawn would adapt well to the local climate while providing excellent greenery during most months. The turf was professionally laid, with seams and joints carefully matched to root quickly and require little maintenance. The flower bed was redesigned to include a variety of perennials and annuals with a dryflower garden approach, focusing on interesting seasonal color. In order to promote healthy plants that would last a long time we chose to use high quality soil amendments to supplement the existing soil. In well planned layout to allow sun and distance between flowers to grow and create a beautiful floral appearance. The nature of the land lent some challenges to the in itself, and the area needed more grading where drainage was necessary to prevent any future water from collecting there. However, with great planning and execution we were able to overcome this challenge and create a beautiful landscape that adds not only curb appeal, but also value to the property. The client now has a lush lawn with rich grass and a rebuilt flower bed that acts as a centrepiece of their garden, and overall, they were very pleased with the end results.
