Rivertrail Road South by Hickory Creek Nursery Located in Jacksonville, the 'Rivertrail Road South' landscaping , designed and installed by Hickory Creek Nursery, represents our commitment to quality and unique design. This large residential property exhibits a complete makeover from an unremarkable yard into an outdoor oasis. Included in the was a path made of locally sourced flagstone with a meandering shape that encourages exploration throughout the lush garden. A mix of native plants with colorful flowering perennials and hardy shrubs was also utilized for visual beauty and sustainability. Our team used organic materials such as high-quality mulch and compost to help enrich the soil and promote healthy growth. One of the challenges was the relatively steep and uneven slope on the property. We overcame this challenge by installing terraced garden beds that enhanced the natural beauty of the landscape and helped with drainage to limit the possibility of pooling water on the property. Moreover, a modern irrigation system was installed to efficiently water the garden while conserving resources. The result is a balanced landscape of beauty and functionality with a couple of tranquil seating areas surrounded by ornamental grasses and a water feature for relaxation. The excited client shared that having nature integrated into their design makes their home a perfect place to get away from it all and for social events. Hickory Creek Nursery takes pride in transforming features and this reflects our commitment to excellence in landscaping.
