Royal Tern Road South We are excited to share our landscaping at Royal Tern Road South taken on by Hickory Creek Nursery. This represented an outstanding improvement in the elegance and usability of an outdoor space in Jacksonville, Florida. Hickory Creek Nursery takes pride in its quality and craftsmanship, and this helped restore the aesthetic beauty to the residential property. This involved a complete renovation of the front and backyard, which incorporated a variety of native plants, ornamental grasses, and flowering shrubs to the site that improved the aesthetic landscape but increased biodiversity for local wildlife. As landscape architects, we chose to use an abundance of drought-tolerant varieties of plants that sustainable with ongoing color throughout the summer. The area also had a lot of challenges in terms of the elevation on the site and the soil qualities, which resulted in utilizing unique grading and soil amendments. We created tiered-gardens, which enhanced the drainage on the site and developed beautiful tiers of greenery, inviting pathways and intimate seating areas. Also, we added a custom stone patio of local flagstone, which become a fun place for family and friends to gather amongst lush greenery, and enhanced the experience with beautiful outdoor lighting and boulders arranged to create a delightful retreat after the sun went down. Ultimately, the final product for the Royal Tern Road South was delightful for the homeowners and gave them their own outdoor escape that represented themselves and their lifestyle. With thoughtful planning, high-quality materials and , and connecting everything together in a meaningful way, we exceeded their expectations and created a landscape that will remain beautiful for years to come.
