The started with a thorough consultation and identifying the homeowner's desire for a colorful, but low-maintenance front yard. The design is a beautiful mix of native and non-native Texas plants, from the gorgeous color of the lantanas to the elegance of the ornamental grasses, that can thrive in our climate and add seasonal color. Also, high-quality materials were used, with natural stone walkways flowing beautifully into the front entryway that create a great sense of accessibility and encourage exploration. One of the biggest challenges we faced was an existing drainage issue that could seriously affect the health of the new landscape. Our skilled staff carefully worked through this issue and designed a rain garden with permeable pavers and soil amendments to ensure proper water movement. Therefore, not only did we address the drainage issue, but the rain garden contributed some green, friendly design aspects as well. The final outcome is simply stunning. The rich green with bursts of color from seasonal blooms create a welcoming environment and reflect the unique architectural features of the home. The use of energy-efficient LED lighting takes the space to another spectacular level and allows for evening enjoyment, illuminating pathways and features.
