This is located in the center of Chattanooga and involved the installation of permeable pavers in a residential driveway and patio. The client was interested in this for curb appeal improvements and to help manage stormwater runoff as an example of sustainable landscaping. We believe in using quality materials and chose a permeable paver made from natural materials that will allow stormwater to permeate into the soil rather than sit on the surface. This also assists with groundwater recharge and litter movement that can cause erosion. The design itself was a combination of earthy tones that match the architecture creating a seamless transition between hardscape and softscape. Throughout the we worked diligently to achieve the correct grading and level of drainage to ensure maximum efficiency of the permeable system. Our team leveled out the base layer and then installed a gravel subbase, ensuring that this driveway will operate to its full capacity and withstand wear and tear over time. The result was a beautiful, functional driveway and patio where the clients were pleasantly surprised with the look and how the permeable pavers enhanced their landscape while providing sustainable stormwater management.
