Located in the middle of the city of Mountain View, this represents our philosophy to create environmentally sensitive spaces that are both natural habitats for local wildlife and improve the beauty of residential properties. This garden is planted with many native plants that need little water, providing food and habitat for pollinators: bees, butterflies and hummingbirds! Some of the top performers you might find are California poppies, milkweed, and lavender; these not only brighten up the garden but give lifeblood to these important species! Drought-tolerant ground cover requires little water but keeps the landscape lush and also makes your garden more eco-friendly. One of the biggest challenges to overcome during this was the variation in sunlight exposure at the site and also differences in the quality of soil. Our talented crew also put together a site analysis, so we could plant plants where they would thriveconsidering aspects of how much light and water plants need, and grouping them accordingly. By installing a drip irrigation system, water becomes even more efficient, as plants are watered exactly where and as much as needed, saving both resources and maintaining the health of the plants. The end product really is a stunning garden which manages to combine practical use with nature at its finest.
