This incorporated a diverse collection of indigenous plants, specifically selected for growth in the local climate, for their attractiveness to pollinators and for furthering the cause of biodiversity. Natural stone paths were incorporated in the design as locally procured stone construction which meandered thru the garden, providing a tactile, earthy feel. These paths are bordered with lush, drought-resistant plantings including brilliant wildflowers and textured succulents, providing a harmonious conglomeration of colors and forms through all of the seasons. One of the primary objections was to cope with the extreme grades of the terrain on which the property is situated. Our team employed contouring techniques of an expert grade to create terraced planting beds which not only have the desired positive consequences on erosion control but are also interesting formations that are more accessible. Each of the terraces was particularly developed in view of their own display of botanical interest to which we desired to afford emphasis and newness of effect, ensuring a captivating spectacle from all angles. The finished result is a splendid landscape which will strike the beholder's sense of Sight, of Touch and of hearing. A peaceful retreat, affording quiet observation of Nature's charm, with its quaintly made benches of recycled timber, adds to the charm of the surroundings. Its central decoration, perchance on a night of rare beauty, a rustic hearth and its embers, surrounded with stones and cement, forms a point around which family and friends may draw for much comfort in evening parties and gatherings, all this contributing to the delights of Nature's pleasures on warmer evenings in California. From inception to completion Campion Walker Landscapes sought quality of workmanship taking an ever growing satisfaction from the patron's enjoyment.
