Ellipse by Outdoor Lifestyles Outdoor Lifestyles is excited to present the Ellipse , a spectacular installation in the Shoreline. This is an example of the commitment to quality and craftsmanship in all the landscape s we create for East Lyme, Centerbrook, Essex and more. The Ellipse is a beautiful combination of hardscaping and softscaping, resulting in a dramatic outdoor sanctuary. We used local bluestone pavers to create the gently curving patio form, with the patio following the contours of the site. In addition to the hardscape, we incorporated native plantings including colorful perennials and ornamental grasses that add beauty and local ecology. A key challenge to the site was not only the undulating topography but the grading and construction of the work in order to facilitate effective drainage and prevent potential erosion. In addition to site planning, we provided grading and a small drainage system to manage the topograph, and to eliminate pooling on the patio and drive area, which was important in ensuring the integrity of the landscape. The outcome is completely stunning! The Ellipse creates a relaxing atmosphere for both our client and company guests, moving through the wonderful space. The seating is an attractive feature in green garden space, which is used to socialize, or think quietly. The landscape was a perfect solution to our client's vision and, ultimately, an outcome that is true to Outdoor Lifestyles as the dedication and value of introducing creativity, and the natural beauty of our landscape. The clients' positive feedback shows the outcome of our hard work was a success for the vision. It demonstrates how Outdoor Lifestyles is always providing valuable design and implementation of landscaping to the New Haven region, including Guilford, Branford, Westbrook, Madison, Clinton, and Stonington areas. The Ellipse is yet another representation of our passion for creating beautiful outdoor experiences that enhance the beauty and overall function of a property.
