This extensive landscaping was completed with great care for the quality of work we put into the . The overall vision for Observatory Park was to create a tranquil Mediterranean oasis that could be fully embraced within the California-style landscape of trees and shrub. When you arrive at Observatory Park, you are greeted by a finely laid flagstone walkway made of locally sourced sandstone, leading you through gardens filled with snazzy bougainvilleas, fragrant lavender, and ornamental grasses blowing in the breeze. One of the most noteworthy features of Observatory Park is the custom-built terracotta tile patio designed for outside dining and entertaining. The owners were excited by the creation of this outdoor kitchen space that has an exquisite granite countertop and built-in grill, promising family get-togethers and summer barbecues would never be the same. Upon arriving at the site, there were several challenges we had to conquer to run a successful ; one challenge being the unlevel site and a second challenge in getting water off the patio and the grounds to ensure pooling did not occur. Our solution involved working with the design to do tiered garden beds and retaining walls made with reclaimed stone which not only provided structural integrity to our walls but also fulfilled the rustic aesthetic. Additionally, with the Mediterranean theme in mind, our scope of work included a nice water feature?written as a new fountain with beautiful mosaics reflecting the color of the surrounding ardens?that when completed provided a soothing sound for the family to enjoy. Overall, the client feedback was nothing short of fantastic, with the clients extolling the blend of function and aesthetics.
