About This Project

The Custom Privacy Wall Deck with Gazebo in West Des Moines, IA, represents a seamless blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal, executed with meticulous attention to detail. Initiated in 2020, this project was borne out of the homeowners' desire to transition from traditional wood decking to a maintenance-free solution. We chose Timbertech PVC Capped Composite Decking from the Terrain Series in Silver Maple, which not only enhances durability but also offers an elegant look. To elevate the design further, a picture frame detail was incorporated in the center of the deck, creating a striking visual focal point that complements the overall layout. The deck was designed with the perfect height to accommodate the homeowners' hot tub, ensuring both comfort and accessibility. In addition to the decking, we revitalized the existing gazebo by installing new roofing that harmonizes with the deck's aesthetics. Complementing this, we added an Aluminum Soffit Ceiling that matches the Westbury Railing in the Tuscany Series, finished in a rich bronze col. This combination not only enhances the visual appeal but also contributes to the overall durability and low maintenance of the structure. One of the standout features of this project is the custom privacy wall, artfully crafted from Westbury Railing Posts paired with Timbertech Fascia and Risers. This unique design element provides seclusion without sacrificing style, creating an inviting oasis for the homeowners. The inside corner stairs were also designed with precision, ensuring both functionality and elegance. The culmination of this comprehensive deck project resulted in a stunning outdoor space that exceeded the homeowners' expectations. The thoughtful design choices and high-quality materials not only enhance the beauty of the property but also provide a long-lasting, enjoyable space for years to come. The homeowners expressed their absolute satisfaction with the outcome, highlighting how the new deck has transformed their outdoor experience.
