Summary: Richfield ONeill Landscape Design and Installation proudly presents the Richfield a redesigned outdoor space that transformed the client's outdoor experience in the Chagrin Valley. This expansive residential landscape was designed to integrate seamlessly with the natural environment and enhance its usability and look. The multi-tiered patio is built of premium Bluestone and provides an elegant, durable hardscaped surface for outdoor gatherings. Adjacent to the patio sits an elegant fire pit with custom seating that allows for comfort and warmth while friends and family are together year-round. To ensure sustainability of the landscape and thrive in the climate, we selected native plants that included vibrant perennials and ornamental grasses throughout the yard, and it soon became a holy land for pollinators. One of the main difficulties with this was the sloping nature of the site's topography. Our crew created innovative grading to allow for level areas for the patio and garden beds. The landscape architects at ONeill Landscape Design and Installation designed a series of retaining walls using natural stone which helped with slope stability, all while providing a unique texture and character to the landscape. To help the gardens and plants grow healthy and vibrant while being water conscious, ONeill Landscape Design and Installation installed a custom irrigation system to maintain the lush gardens through all four seasons. The end result is an oasis that is harmonious in color and composition, which embodies the client's vision of the space while displaying the quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail that ONeill Landscape Design and Installation embodies.
