Jim, Residence Exterior Designs Landscape is thrilled to showcase another landscaping transformation from Jim's Residence an stunning property located in the beautiful community of Rancho Santa Fe. Designing and executing a luxury, outdoor oasis that enhances the property while considering the unique challenges of the terrain and the region's climate., our team was tasked with creating a beautiful but zen outdoor oasis that integrates with the property and its beauty. This included a full landscape redesign with a beautiful locally sourced flagstone patio, which now serves as both a practical and beautiful foundation for outdoor events. Native plants that are adapted to the coastal climate, low-water requirements, and also help the ecology of the area complete the solution around the patio garden. The arrangement contained succulents and ornamental grasses clustered to keep a check on maintenance and to impart an appealing look. The challenge we needed to overcome as a team was the angle of the slope of the property which we got around in a creative manner with tiered planting beds. Not only did this create an interesting visual aspect to the landscape, but it also helped to retain soil and reduce erosion. We did not settle for just any salad soil recipe but chose the best organic soil amendments so your plants can grow healthy, and live longer. Furthermore, we had custom-built and installed a natural-looking water feature with a waterfall which not only adds a sense of elegance but also creates a soft buzz in the backyard, helping to attract local wildlife. To enhance the peaceful atmosphere, warm hues were softly incorporated through ambient lighting, making the balmy outdoors a year-round experience day and night. This culminated in a beautiful landscape that took Jim’s vision further than he could for- cast, but still ticks all the boxes for beauty, function and sustainability.
