New Turf to Create Kid-Friendly Space Grounded Landscape Design is excited to present the 'New Turf to Create Kid-Friendly Space' fun in the lively community of Redmond. The included transforming an underused backyard into a safe and inviting place for children to play, investigate, and grow. Grounded began the by removing the existing worn-out grass and debris. The team then prepared the soils to drain and grow optimally. The design team chose quality and durable turf designed for heavy foot traffic so that children could feel comfortable and safe playing on the soft surface. The team installed the turf with a solid edging system and making use of grading and leveling portions of the turf to present the most aesthetically pleasing surface. In addition to the new turf, Grounded led the team to plant fun, child-friendly landscape elements; colorful flower beds and native shrubs wrapped the new yard in beauty, while also showing the children the plants that grow in their local ecosystem. Grounded added an area with wood mulch, to give the children a safe zone for a small area with some play equipment, while also clearly enhancing the playability of the yard. Throughout the , Grounded also had unplanned additions, such as containerizing the drainage piping while dealing with assorted soil quality and challenges along the way. Nevertheless, the talented team fixed issues with innovative solutions designed to protect the longevity and health of the new landscape. The final product was a joyful, large play area that delighted the family and exceeded their expectations! The new green turf in the yard, and the new colorful landscaping elements gave this family a special place for their children to play, and a special gathering place for family and friends.
