Natural Wonderland in the Suburbs by Grounded Landscape Design Grounded Landscape Design is proud to unveil the 'Natural Wonderland in the Suburbs' in the active community of Redmond. The landscape , planned around and incorporating elements of nature into one’s daily life, was inspired by the client's aspirations for a welcoming outdoor space that embodies the true aesthetic of the Pacific Northwest. Our team faced challenges along the way, including uneven slopes and poor soil. To address poor soil qualities, the team sought out soil amendments and incorporated terracing solutions for the sloped areas of the property. The design consists of native plants such as Oregon grape and sword ferns that allowed us to create a beautiful space while supporting a more diverse landscape that required less maintenance. To further enhance the overall design and beauty of the landscape, we included natural stone paths that meandered through the lush garden beds, providing an opportunity for guests to reflect on their surrounding nature during a quiet stroll. The water feature is the highlight of the backyard, planned using natural boulders and freshwater aquatic plants to replicate a rolling stream, complete with small waterfalls. This will also support local species of wildlife while attracting your neighbors and allowing for reflections of the overall design. The entire reflects the natural beauty of materials through the thoughtful selection of plants and stone demonstrating our commitment to quality and craft. We incorporated landscape materials we sourced sustainably and using plants grown locally, creating a backdrop and impacting the way the family gathers, relaxes and enjoys their outdoor space. Natural Wonderland in the Suburbs is a reflection of Grounded Landscape Design's passion for excellence, creativity and design-consistency. The components of this landscape work together to create a balance of beauty and function, all while making a lasting impression on the Redmond community.
