Located in Waldorf, Maryland, this posed some unique challenges that we were excited to engage with. This consisted of a large raised patio in high-quality pavers that will be durable and beautiful. We selected a natural stone with warm tones that matched well with the surrounding landscape for a nice connection between the house and the outdoor space. The patio is surrounded by carefully planned, high-quality plantings, including native shrubs and ornamental grasses to improve aesthetics and contribute to local biodiversity. Another special installation in this is the custom firepit, which was constructed using matching stone to allow the firepit to seamlessly blend with the patio. This warm, inviting feature serves as the anchor of the patio, perfect for gathering with family and friends and enjoying the evenings. Our team worked through various challenges, including slope and drainage issues, to ensure the finished product was stunning and functional and met the owner's safety expectations. The finished is a beautiful outdoor living room and quickly became the new favorite place for the client to host gatherings with friends and family. The patio elevation allows for enjoyable views of the beautiful surrounding landscape, and the fire adds warmth and comfort to any evening enjoyable outdoors.
