This consisted of a re design of a diverse residential lawn, in which we incorporated several different landscaping elements. To kick things off, we installed drought-resistant, luxury sod that is rich in appearance, and more importantly promotes sustainable landscaping practices. To break up the vast amount of green, we added borders of river rockwe love how they lent a more organic feel while still serving the purpose of drainage! The uneven nature of the property was one of our biggest challenges, as it had the potential to stop water from staying in or draining correctly, and wouldn't have looked great either. We had to do extensive earthworks and our team did and amazing job leveling the ground and installing a new irrigation system that ensures every plant gets enough water but not a drop more is wasted. We included a native, perennially repeating palette, and ornamental fabaceae growing easily in the Mt. Vernon habitat. Beyond aesthetic value, these choices offer seasonal color while promoting local wildlife activity, therefore, increasing the ecological harmony of this landscape. A new entertaining area with natural stone pavers & built in lighting paired with a comfortable seating nook was designed for the homeowners to sit & enjoy their transformed garden. Once finished the end product looked nothing short of gorgeous. Our clients loved their new outdoor paradise, with the perfect marriage of form and function.
