Pollinator Meadow by 3o5 Gardens A Pollinator Meadow Beautifies Miami 3o5 Gardens part of o2sq2 Initiative. From Country Walk to Miami Beach, our diverse communities serviced our communities on this journey of sparking change by designing an innovative and beautiful space that entices and sustains all aspects of our local pollinatorswildlife. The included a thoughtful palette of native plants such as wildflowers, grasses and shrubs selected to feed bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Using good organic soil amendments and sustainable landscaping inputs, we created conditions under which the meadow both grew and thrived in our local climate. The most important problem we faced was installation into a previously barren region, which had restricted soil quality and poor drainage. An impermeable layer led to waterlogging on the site, high sodium levels made it difficult for the roots to absorb moisture, and the local climate had limited rainfall to support the tropical plants growing. Our experts solved these challenges with cutting edge drainage techniques and soil amendments to ensure that the environment was conducive to plant growth. By carefully planning, and carefully building, we took this formerly neglected corner and turned it into a green, vibrant simple meadow full of energy. The end product is a beautiful assemblage of colors and textures that complements the environment around it while providing an important habitat for pollinators. The client was thrilled to see immediately bees and butterflies and beauty to their property, while providing function to the ecosystem!
