Skyline Residence by C2 | Studio Landscape Architecture (image above) The Skyline Residence , located in one of Fort Collins Regions most beautiful settings, is a unique outdoor living example comprised of exterior spaces designed by C2 | Studio Landscape Architecture. This developmental is a perfect combination of usability and beauty, present there according to the needs of the home owners with the specially enhanced natural beauty of the area. It boasts a large outdoor entertainment area with custom stone patio and beautiful fire pit, great for star-studded gatherings. Natural materials were used, as the designers wanted to ensure the materials could survive the conditions the house is placed in. Native stone and sustainable hardwood were chosen to make the house sturdy yet blend in with the Colorado terrain. The selected plant palette focuses on drought tolerant species which adapt well to the local climate and provide year-round visual interest. The main obstacles for this were site lines with multiple elevation changes as well as its rocky conditions. They used creative grading practices to build these tiered garden beds, improving space and drainage. This thoughtful method reduces erosion and helps sustain the biodiversity of the garden. And, the final product is truly stunning. Rich perennial and ornamental grass plantings, clustered boulders, and a lush garden set the scene. Needless to say, the clients were extremely happy with the results of their new indoor-outdoor lifestyle.
