Landscape Design and Planting with Evergreens, Perennials, and Annuals At Joseph Matthew Landscape Inc Design & Build, we specialize in creating outdoor spaces that are truly beautiful with nature when it comes to landscape design and build. One of our recent s, 'Landscape Design and Planting with Evergreens, Perennials, and Annuals,' illustrates this well. Located in the center of Long Island, NY, our team set out to improve a residential property through the incorporation of various plant species into a seamless landscape design. We chose different evergreen species to provide structure and privacy year-round, followed by colorful succession flowering perennial plants, to provide color throughout the growing seasons. Finally, we selected a few varieties of annuals to give each season a little punch of color and seasonal interest. After selecting the desired plants, we chose to utilize quality soil amendments and ethical landscape practices to properly plan the planting beds for optimal plant growth. One issue we dealt with was the different sunlight conditions throughout the property. We solved this issue by strategically placing each plant in such a way that it optimally achieved its sun requirements. The newly designed landscape plan created an inviting, lush landscape that provided not only curb appeal to the property, but also a peaceful sitting place for the homeowners. Our client was very happy with the results and expressed their gratitude for the creativity and care we put into their outdoor space.
