Living Fence created by Charleston Creative Outdoor Solutions Charleston Creative Outdoor Solutions is excited to present the 'Living Fence' , which puts a new level on outdoor privacy and beauty. Serving the many communities of Charleston, Charleston AFB, Daniel Island, Goose Creek, Hanahan, Johns Island, Ladson, Mount Pleasant, North Charleston, and Sullivan's Island, we undertook this as a unique approach to create a natural barrier that fits within the surrounding landscape. Living Fence is comprised of native shrubs and flowering plants that were carefully selected for sustainable robustness. Our team chose hardy resident species like Leyland Cypress and Wax Myrtle to be the visual barrier while at the same time, providing habitat to local wildlife while being beneficial for the biodiversity of the area. The had to work around a few challenges - local zoning regulations, soil conditions, etc. Our experienced landscapers installed an impeccable layout of native shrubs, components, and decorative stone paths while integrating lighting for night-time impact. Biodegradable mulch was used to improve aesthetics and serve a purpose of retaining moisture for plant health in the lowcountry climate. The ending result is a simple, beautiful living fence that embodies our commitment to quality and sustainability. The client was very happy and expressed their appreciation for the improved privacy, enhanced aesthetic value, and love for the environmental impact. The outcome elevated their outdoor space while still representing the creative eco-friendly, landscaping ethos of Charleston Creative Outdoor Solutions and complimenting the natural beauty of the area.
