About This Project

Lauzon Outdoor Space KPS Architecture & Landscape, LLC is excited to showcase the "Lauzon Outdoor Space", an impressive transformation that changes the concept of outdoor living in West Chester. This exemplifies our focus on quality craftsmanship and unique design which considers the client's lifestyle and ideas for aesthetics. Initially, we began with what the site presented: a steadily sloped yard that was limited in usability, and access. KPS created a multi-tiered landscape utilizing natural stone retaining walls to create different levels that were functional. The walls served as a functional solution, but were also visually appealing and durable in character with the surrounding site by using local limestone. The design created a large patio made of high-quality weather-resistant pavers for entertaining space. Additionally, there was a fire pit surrounded by a custom seating wall for the outdoor experience. Planted beds were sprinkled throughout the patio area with native plants for seasonal color and low maintenance, and to attract local biodiversity. Lighting was a very important aspect of this , with energy-efficient LED fixtures to highlight specific landscape components and to set the inviting atmosphere for evening gatherings. We are proud in our attention to detail, and the interplay of the hardscape and softscape designs. The end result exceeded the client's expectations from what was an underdeveloped, challenging space to an amazing outdoor space. Lauzon Outdoor Space not only added value to the property, but enhanced the client's lifestyle - showcasing outdoor living.
