This consisted of lush evergreen hedges that were hand-selected for their fast growth and year-round foliage to block unwanted views. Since the hedge would provide the screening we needed and add layers and color, we decided to incorporate a mixture of Leyland cypress and boxwood hedge. Throughout the site, we added decorative trellises with climbing vines for vertical textures to provide additional green to the landscape, while fitting seamlessly into the natural elements surrounding the property. The one functional consideration of our planning was considering the different topography of the property. In order to develop the functionality and health of the plants, we wanted to be sure our job and the individual plants were level and stable. Our team was efficient with amendments of proper soils, drainage, and planting to keep roots healthy and the intended aspect. The potential of water retention and erosion would be problematic if left with space to create a risk unanticipated. The natural stone pathway we laid out, as a final feature of the , wound its way through the landscape to create a pathway for guests and clients to move throughout the property. The natural stone intented an exploration of the clients' property while maintaining privacy from neighbors and opportunities for gatherings. All of the stone was selected locally; the natural stone, while being sustainably source, also blended beautifully with the design palette of the and adhered to a strong attention of detail. The result was breathtaking! We exceeded the clients' expectations, and they were overjoyed over the privacy they could now enjoy without immediate and consistent lack of privacy from neighbors and foot traffic.
