Summary: Tranquility The 'Tranquility' was designed and completed by Wilson's Natural Landscaping, LLC and embodies the idea of calm outdoor living. This took a small backyard and turned it into a relaxing green space right in the center of Concord. The landscape design was framed and built around creating a balance between natural beauty and usable outdoor living space that suits entertaining or unwinding. The involved a beautiful selection of native plants that thrive in the local climate and promote pollinators. We used a variety of flowering perennials and ornamental grasses, with selective evergreen shrubs in desirable spots for interest. A winding path of local flagstone dots the garden and leads the visitor through it, supporting wandering and calm. The stone path has soft lighting along the edges, allowing for evenings shared with family and friends. One of the larger challenges we faced was the slope on the property itself. Our talented team developed a creative solution of terraced garden beds using reclaimed wood to build retaining walls. With this, we actively prevented soil erosion and changed what was a sudden, sloping yard into a functional and attractive set of levels that added layered depth and character to the garden. We changed the exterior living experience with a custom fire pit surrounded by natural stone seating and plenty of space for family to enjoy being together. A water feature, with an active falling waterfall, helped to create soothing, natural sounds at different points within the garden experience and offered another nod to living in nature. 'Tranquility' exceeded expectations, taking a garden to the next level that both matched the client's style and focused on environmental aspects.
