Lowen Residence At Knotty By Nature Landscapes, we specialize in designing outdoor environments into beautiful landscapes that connect with the beauty of nature, as well as our clients’ individual interests. Our recent at the Lowen Residence located in breathtaking Fort Collins exemplifies our creativity and care. There was an existing garden on-site, which was not an engaging design, with unkempt and overgrown plants, and no establishment of usable outdoor spaces. We worked with the clients closely to capture their wants, with their chief concern being that it was a low-maintenance landscape that was beautiful. Some key features of the Lowen landscape include a custom stone pathway, constructed of locally sourced flagstone, that brings visitors through the colourful garden display. We planted the garden with native plants, which are hardy in the Colorado climate, and as a result have sustainability and low water requirements as a result. With the ornamental grasses and perennial flowers we included, the landscape will have colour year-round. Boulders are abound in the garden to create a natural rugged appeal to this beautiful landscape. The property site sloped dramatically, so we need how to solves to touch on the drainage and soil retention challenges faced at the site. Our team created a variety of terraced agricultural beds with high-quality, native and sustainable materials that would add to the beauty while also limit soil degradation. These terraced beds not only limit soil erosion but also allow for abundant planting areas of different flora. Finally our team built out this beautiful outdoors living for family and friends to congregate around the fire pit. The space is ample and cozy inviting with soft seating, and it is crafted around the comforts of home and entertaining. We are delighted with the resulting blend of nature and craft, which takes the Lowen Residence to relaxing outdoor shelter. The clients were overwhelmingly pleased with the finished product and the attention to detail and soft and hardscape designs.
