Swim All Year by Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living Located in the stunning natural surroundings of Castle Rock, our 'Swim All Year' by Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living is an innovative design, with expertise beyond its physical beauty. This extraordinary outdoor living space takes the ordinary backyard and creates a unique year-round retreat, featuring a spectacular pool with incomparable landscaping. In this , we constructed a beautiful pool that is heated for year-round enjoyment, and a spa was custom designed to complement the pool and provide the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. The durable pavers selected around the pool match the affordability of the outdoor living space and provide visually appealing options around the pool to the homeowners and guests while prioritizing safety. One of the many challenges we faced as a team for this design was the grading and sloping of the parcel and drainage. We wanted to minimize water build-up while maximizing longevity to landscape around the pool. The landscape and drainage around and near the house needed to be engineered and constructed, while taking the same consideration in mind, all while maintaining aesthetics. Our team addressed this concern with an advanced drainage system and attention to detail. We also tried to introduce plants that were native and would have vibrant color during each growing season in Colorado, further distracting the eye and elevating the hospitality of the landscape instead of relying just on the obvious geometry of the hard-scape that guides views to the pool. We introduced a stone waterfall that we designed, where its contours spouted up from poolside, evoking the sounds of nature while relaxing the sound from nearby traffic and other urban distractions. The final product combined functionality with luxury, including usage by the client, family, and guests for pool and garden enjoyment year-round. The Swim All Year met and exceeded the client's goals. The generated relaxation and joy for the homeowner and their family and guests to create lasting and enduring memories as they encounter their time in the newly designed outdoor living experience and escape.
