Crump Pl. by Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living The Crump Pl. sits in a beautiful neighborhood in Castle Rock and embodies the creativity and craftsmanship that Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living is known for. A landscape renovation, this brings contemporary elements to an outdoor oasis while maintaining the beauty of the site. The began with a full review of the site to understand the limitations of the defined areas with topography and shade. As a result, we employed a tiered garden concept that uses native stone and boulders sourced locally in order to create beautiful retaining walls, while also adding detail and rustic quality to the overall landscape. The beautiful stone work was further enhanced with lush plantings, all of which were identified for their resiliency and low-maintenance needs in order to look beautiful year-round, while also conserving water. A custom flagstone patio was added as a space for the clients to gather for entertainment. The outdoor living space boasts a custom fire pit with seating to enjoy evenings outdoors, and a winding path made of reclaimed wood and compacted gravel to gently guide you through the delightful garden beds with perennial flowering plants and ornamental grasses. The was challenged with stubborn weather over the course of installation, and we needed to establish drainage in a sloped area. Our team overcame these types of issues with ease by implementing a integrated drainage method and engineered the landscape to keep water flowing through the area, in order to protect the integrity of the . The final product is a beautiful outdoor living space that brings value to the property and provides an opportunity for escape to the homeowners. The combination of hardscaping and softscaping elements were developed carefully to engage the homeowner, and ultimately provide a landscaped yard for use throughout the seasons.
