Commercial Landscape Installation for GLDesigns GLDesigns just completed a beautiful commercial landscape installation transforming a corporate campus in Ambler, PA that spans 5-acres into a colorful and inviting environment. This highlighted GLDesigns’ emphasis on superior quality and craftsmanship for the Greater Philadelphia area including Ambler, Blue Bell, and King of Prussia. The design included a variety of native plants, decorative stone pathways, and outdoor seating areas that have a functional purpose. We specified high-quality materials including locally sourced boulders for the natural bouldering wall as well as permeable pavers enhancing drainage and run-off. The plant palette included native perennials, ornamental grasses, and evergreen shrubs to create a stunning display in all seasons while providing habitat for local wildlife. One of the challenges on this site was the varying elevations of the site as well as drainage concerns. We designed a tiered landscape that created a cohesive and visually appealing landscape while addressing these concerns and accessibility. Letting the plants grow to establish won't be an issue on this or any either due to the custom irrigation system designed specifically for the site and elevations. The result is a stunning landscape that fits with the architecture of the building to create an inviting gathering space for employees and visitors to relax and escape their days. Our client was beyond pleased with the final as they said they are "obsessed with it" and we felt it added a great deal of appeal to the site while highlighting our ability to face challenges and create a stunning landscape. In addition to the aesthetic enhancement, the highlights sustainability and an emphasis on environmental stewardship, part of the GLDesigns mission.
