Front & Side Yard Landscaping by DSTscaping and RLC Construction The 'Front & Side Yard' by DSTscaping and RLC Construction is set in the bustling place of the San Jose community. This exemplary was focused on quality and design for an outdoor living space, while adding curb appeal and usability to the property. The homeowner worked closely with our team to get their ideas across, and what we designed encapsulated a perfect composition of vegetation, hardscaping, and amenities. We employed excellent materials, sourced locally and installed stone paths and stone retaining walls. Included in the was a patio made from eco-friendly pavers, a flower bed of localized, colorful plants, and a decorative water feature both calming to the sounds, visually enticing, and the water would eventually cycle from the street to the rain garden. Some challenges encountered took place with the genesis of the slight elevation changes. To conform to the elevations and create a useful base, we responsibly re-graded in a way that provided both slope to change the base elevations for proper drainage and slope to keep soil where we wanted it, safely supporting both design and drainage requiring some techniques we designed into the installation along the way. The outcome gave the homeowner a nice keyed-in place at their entrance and allowed for them to have a wonderful nook for quiet nights, balmy midnights, and quality laughs over cold drinks on any day. Each detail was accounted for from plant species selections to the hardscape. The appreciation of nit-picky (plant species) approach was a process of dedicated experience brought us to this moment.
