Set in the lovely landscape of Fort Lauderdale, along the neighborhoods of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, and beyond, this emphasizes our desire to elevate outdoor spaces into absolute beauty. When the homeowner approached us to begin the , they discussed how they wanted a comfortable transition between various outdoor spaces to feel like a retreat while adding to the aesthetics of their modern coastal house. Our team of talented designers began by completing an extensive site analysis to learn anything notable on the property itself, along with the homeowner's vision. An important aspect of the landscape design was utilizing native plants typically found in Florida. Incorporating native plants would not only provide consistent crops for the landscape to thrive in its designated environment, but also for the local ecosystem and biodiversity. We integrated multiple, colorful bougainvillea, coontie palms, and hibiscus to get seasonal color throughout the entire landscape space. There was also a fairly winding stone layout to define the entire dense planting space using local coral stone. The local coral stone and winding design not only have lasting durability but were also functional for defining spaces and connecting one area to the next. An obvious challenge for the was to delineate issues related to the property's drainage, primarily minimizing pooling on the property due to contemporary rainfall. Our landscape architects implemented a novel drainage system along with strategically placed rain gardens to redirect water runoff while similarly maintaining some beauty to the garden. The outcome of the landscape design is stunning; a relaxing outdoor sanctuary with an accommodating meditation area and custom-built pergola was completed, with accommodating shade and cozy area for enjoyment. Every detail was taken into mind, including the specific plant and tree arrangements, as well as installing refined outdoor lighting fixtures to glow at nighttime. The pleased client delighted in our quality and craftsmanship during consideration of its former state, noting how the new landscape raised just enough curb appeal while offering a peaceful sanctuary for family gatherings and moments of stillness.
