Terraced Patios & Gardens by Burke Brothers Landscape Design/Build Burke Brothers Landscape design/Build is thrilled to share our 'Terraced Patios & Gardens' , completed outside of our primary service area in beautiful Abington, Ambler, and Bryn Mawr. Exciting s like these allow us to build multiple terraced levels that, although formed by human hands, truly fit into the contours of the landscape to support outdoor living. For all of the patios, we chose to work with high-grade bluestone pavers, "facing in" the patio areas, knowing the quality and durability would add elegance to the surrounding greenery and would stand the test of time. The terraces are absolutely stunning! We included a variety of native plantings, including perennials and ornamental grasses, that will create year-long color changes and a thriving ecosystem. A major hurdle we faced was the slope, where the engineer had to come in and devise a plan to support the space and make it accessible. We installed a drainage system to support and evacuate the water run-off to keep the walls intact while keeping everything static and beautiful. The end result is a functionally beautiful patio and landscape where our clients can enjoy themselves and their guests. Not only do the terraced patios provide a nice view, but they also create areas to eat, lounge, and garden, while allowing for a relaxing option. The family will continue to develop many nighttime gatherings as the has become the goto spot for family time or a night off under the stars.
