Garden Relics by Poole's Stone and Garden, Inc. Located in Frederick County, the Garden Relics installation produced by Poole's Stone and Garden, Inc. would ultimately take an older backyard and create a lovely outdoor escape combining the tradition of history, and professional design/build landscaping. This engaged the local communities of Adamstown, Ballenger Creek, and beyond, and is also indicative of our high standards of skilled workmanship and innovative strategic design. The Garden Relics features beautiful bluestone-style pathways, sourced from the region, that meander spatially throughout the garden and lead to points of object identity of much older relic archetypes, antique garden tools, and seasonless tribute garden sculptures that have long existed in the garden. All relics, or object archetypes, were a curated collection that once again existed as element fronts in the landscape. The ease at which this was produced had to do heavily with the obvious contours of the area that emerged as we designed the , and we needed solutions to cunningly upgrade an area previously challenged with lower elevations and poor drainage. In choosing the bluestone, we implemented a full system to properly contain the surface water, aiding in erosion resistance while providing areas for the garden to flourish. The variety of native planting series ensured color throughout the seasons, also attracting local pollinators that increase activity in the area substantially examining beauty and species diversity. In addition to the stonework completed by our team, we also needed to create softscape elements as part of the design, to include a comfortable seating area with the infusion of fragrant lavender and colored perennials, a great way to relax and recharge within the self-sustaining garden. The result exuded harmony and enchantment within the produce of our service, which transformed an older area into a garden that met our client's desires. In the end, with the completion of Garden Relics, Poole's Stone and Garden, Inc. was once again able to service the community, recreate architectural aesthetics, and sustainably produce serenity and peace while also skills coordinating local history through gardening for generations to come.
