Serving the local communities of Cinco Ranch, Fulshear and beyond, this was a well-conceived plan for transforming an outdated space into outdoor living in complete harmony with the natural surroundings as well as our clients' lifestyle. The Design Over a couple of meetings, our team created a design plan to fulfill our vision of an eye-catching, functional landscape that would provide a peaceful escape for the homeowners. We started with a careful analysis of the property’s unique terrain and any pre-existing foliage to design correctly within the ecosystem. This involved many things, like a custom stone patio made of local flagstone for durability and timelessness. This welcoming area was planted with a selection of native and ornamental grasses which provide a colourful and vibrant display as well as contributing to biodiversity. Xeroscape plant species were strategically selected to reflect low maintenance as well as to maintain a green appearance. One of the most testing aspect of this was the sloped nature of the property. We needed to prevent further erosion, but also wanted to incorporate a bit of height into this section to create interest, so we opted for a terraced garden, featuring natural stone retaining walls both to hold the soil and to look good as well. It is a new kind of solution that gave us an active way to push almost all of the usable space, gaining it this way, through the form of the model, and also enriched the visual dynamics of the whole landscape. We also included an efficient irrigation system customized for the selected plants to promote the best growth and sustainability for our choices. Seamless integration of lighting installation with the landscaping features took those elements to the next level, providing warmth and shimmer to the outdoor space in the evening time. The end result was a stunning landscape that met and exceeded our clients expectations and gave them the functionality and beauty they were looking for.
