This special encouraged our efforts towards quality and design, ultimately creating a great landscape for what the area has to offer. Upon our initial visit, we quickly realized that the steep grade was both limiting access and beauty for the property. Together with the client, we thoughtfully discussed a multi-leveled landscaping style. The design featured beautiful retaining walls made of natural stone that served a dual purpose of structure while being very aesthetically pleasing. Once finalized, we provided a nice variety of native hardscaping and shrubbery based on their durability and low-maintenance care. The plant selections were highlighted with beautiful, colorful azaleas and ornamental grasses. These selections created a cascading appearance down the slope of the yard, creating a visual effect that directed guests through the property. We also added decorative gravel pathways throughout the landscape to enter areas of the garden while using the natural flow of the space. Adequately addressing proper drainage was a necessary, significant, design point to consider. Drainage is always a concern, particularly for sloped yards paving the way for erosion over time. Our team integrated a thoughtful drainage system that included rain gardens. This system allowed the drainage to be taken care of and further contributed to the landscape's health. The end result was a bright and beautiful front yard. The installation improved the curb appeal of the house while creating additional space for the homeowner to enjoy and invite guests into the outdoor area. The client was so happy to see the final landscape that not only did it improve their views while within their home but it also gave guests a beautiful welcome as they approached the home.
