Custom Landscape Design by Whispering Hills Garden & Landscape Design Center At Whispering Hills Garden & Landscape Design Center, we take pride in turning outdoor spaces into breathtaking landscapes that represent the unique vision of the clients we serve. As an example of our design work, Custom Landscape Design represents our quality and creativity in the design of Outdoor Spaces and s for clients throughout Algonquin, Barrington, and the surrounding area. This started with a consultation to fully understand the client's wishes, desires, and lifestyle and to talk the issues that were presented by the site. The site was a slope with thick shrubbery and hardscapes that needed to be account for at the same time. Our team did a wonderful job of putting together a whole that made all those pieces work together to create beauty and usability. The design ideas included a palette of native plants that were arranged to create biodiversity and lower watering requirements, inviting use by birds along with appreciated color. Stone pathways of bluestone, created locally to identify the area were collocated in a “sitting area” with built cedar benches, inviting the user into nature with easy access through open viewing. A water feature with a cascading fountain, design for sound as much as visuals, introducing, as a focal point, a place where animals occassionally visited. To address the slope, the team installed dry stack walls of natural stone to present a beautiful backdrop to the flower beds as well as provide dimensional stabilization. Maintenance was kept to a minimum with the introduction of using drought-resistant plants, providing seasonal color that would change with each successive planting season. The outcome was a beautiful landscape -relaxing and interactive with its surroundings that represented the vision of the client. Our attention to the and craftsmenship quality made the client happy. At Whispering Hills Garden & Landscape Design Center we feel fortunate to have been able to invite our client to relax and enjoy the process of working with us on the development of their Outdoor Oasis. We ultimately feel blessed, not all s are as nice as this although every is an opportunity to create Happily Ever After.
