San Diego Residence 11 Located in the heart of San Diego, 'San Diego Residence 11' is a magnificent completed by Nick Martin Landscape Architect Inc. showcasing the dedication, quality, and inventiveness of the firm. The vision of this residential landscape was to connect modern elegance with the outdoors and native California landscape to build an extraordinary outdoor space from an ordinary yard. The design utilizes native and drought-tolerant landscaping elements for sustainable design and reduced water use - an important factor in San Diego. Other include a flagstone path uniquely designed to draw guests into lush gardens containing colorful succulents as well as fragrant herbs. A custom pergola constructed with reclaimed wood provides shade and style for an outdoor dining area perfect for entertaining. The sites landscape raised some challenges in terms of uneven ground, which brought innovative grading solutions to establish an even and functioning landscape. To meet this challenge and accentuate elements of the landscape, Nick Martin's landscaping team designed terraced, planting beds which created unique planting arrangements and a more solidified landscape view. The resulted in an extraordinary meld of form and function - accented with the sounds of bubbling water and the blooms of colorful plants. Mark and Kelly, the clients, were thrilled with the end result and enjoyed the care and craftsmanship of the and each detail.
