Garden Designs for Garden Vignettes Garden Vignettes is one of those rare places on the East Coast that blends breathtaking garden designs, composed as pieces of art, with a high-quality and very chic garden amenities and treasures shop located right in the heart of coastal Massachusetts. From Duxbury, Hingham, Marshfield, Plymouth, South Duxbury to Cohasset, this stretched across some beautiful towns and reminded us why we love landscaping. The outdoor environment required was one where functionality met nature, and the client was clear it. We carefully crafted a layered garden with a combination of native plants, perennials, and drought tolerant shrubs. To bring aesthetics to the garden we used natural stone on the footpaths laid in such a manner that it promotes wandering but still feels organic throughout the landscape. The first and obvious challenge to us was the undulating land of the property. Artful grading techniques employed by our talented team successfully tackled this challenge resulting in an aesthetic amenity in the form of a decorative pond with a beautiful waterfall that provides soothing sounds, a splash of color and attracts local wildlife. We wanted stone we sourced locally that would not weather and mulch that composted so that it would support our commitment to sustainability. The end result is a stunning garden that turned the clients garden area into an enjoyable retreat for them. The welcoming space, with its judiciously chosen planting that flower at various times of the year, provides a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere throughout the seasons. Our careful attention to detail and integrated layers of landscape, architecture and interior design are what has delighted this client, who is now enjoying a beautiful setting with family and friends.
