This challenging included taking a large residence and converting it into a relaxing outdoor space and back yard that blends function with beauty. The included various landscaping objects, including designed perennial gardens, beautiful walkways made from natural flagstone, and an amazing water feature which is the focal area of the . We utilized local products in order to continue with the sustainable theme while providing durability along with a natural look in the area. A challenge of the site was its varied contours, which often led us to find creative grading solutions to create consistency throughout the landscape. Our talented staff reshaped the site while maintaining proper drainage and access. An enormous irrigation system was critical to keeping the new plants lush, with blooms throughout the season. What resulted was a remarkable landscape full of all essential elements that surpassed the client’s original vision. A beautiful seating area surrounded by a mass of flowering shrubs allowed for relaxation while listening to the water feature as it flowed gently over the edge. The use of native plants also allowed for bird habitat while keeping the maintenance task manageable for our client, providing them with a terrific outdoor space that blended into the existing area.
